How It Works
San Diego In-Home Pet Grooming grooms pets in the comfort of their own home. While still considered mobile grooming, we do not use a specialty van or vehicle to groom your pet. We typically use your bathroom or small utility room. Your groomer will arrive with all supplies in hand for your appointment. This includes a grooming table, towels, shampoo, blow dryer, etc. The only thing your groomer will need access to is a bathtub or shower. Some clients will prefer we use a small utility sink or even a kitchen sink. It’s ultimately up to you. After the bath portion your groomer will need access to a power outlet to dry the pet. So the only thing you have to provide is access to a tub/shower and access to an outlet. After the service is complete, your groomer will sanitize and clean up the area as best as can be expected. We recommend using a bathroom for this reason- it keeps hair contained and it’s an easy cleanup.
Who is it for? Our in-home grooming service is for any small/medium dog and any well-tempered cat. We would love to take large, or shedding breeds but for now we do not have the capacity. Weight limit for dogs is around 70 lbs at this time.
COVID-19 Policy: We take Covid-19 prevention seriously. Your groomer will be fully vaccinated, boosted, and wear a face mask for the duration of the service. In addition, all grooming equipment is sanitized and thoroughly cleaned in between appointments. If you or your housemates have exhibited any Covid-19 symptoms- please inform your groomer immediately so we can reschedule your appointment for a later date. This keeps everyone safe.

We’re so glad you’re trusting us with your pet! We can’t wait to meet you and your fur baby! Basically all you need to do is allot a bathroom for the duration of the grooming service. Make sure the tub/shower stall is accessible and there is a power outlet available for your groomer. The duration of the groom depends on what services you book and the condition of your pet. Most grooms are completed within 1.5-2 hours.
We service Coronado and Central San Diego. We can accept clients outside of our service are for an additional fee. Text or Call for more information.
No problem. Your groomer has special equipment and it will not be an issue.
If you have an extremely small bathroom then you may direct our staff anywhere you’d prefer.
We love that you want to take part! Unfortunately in most cases it can be very distracting and cause your pet to pay attention to you and not your groomer. However, in special situations if your groomer requires your assistance during the groom- then by all means please help! 🙂
At this time due to the nature of the service we do not groom large breed dogs. Our tables are small and our equipment is not up for the task. If you have a Large or Extra Large breed such as a Husky or Golden or Saint Bernard – we recommend a mobile groomer with a van or a salon visit.
We do not groom aggressive, combative cats. If your cat exhibits aggressive behavior during the grooming session- you will only be charged for the services rendered. Usually a nail trim for $40. We recommend you visit a vet clinic and sedate aggressive cats for their own safety.
Grooming salons are a wonderful option for most pets. But for those clients who want a stress-free grooming experience for their small dog or cat we thing we’re a great fit. Our pricing includes travel cost, state-of-the-art grooming equipment, top of the line shampoos and conditioners, and service providers with over 10 years grooming experience. Your pet will never be kenneled, or subjected to long wait times at the salon. Your cat will never have to endure barking dogs near surrounding kennels.
In most cases yes. You may omit the bath for some cat grooms if the cat is likely to get overstressed. For specific questions- text or call our groomers to inquire.
It’s a no-show protection mechanism. We require a credit card to hold your appointment. You have 24 hours to cancel your appointment without penalty. In the case of a last-minute cancellation our policy states that your service provider will charge a $40 cancellation fee. This helps to recoup lost wages that can be costly for our staff as we cannot fill last-minute spots. Rest assured that our staff cannot access your entire credit card number at any time- it is secure in the Square cloud.
While we do require a credit card to hold your appointment- you do not have to pay by card. We accept all major credit cards, cash, Venmo, and Zelle.
